Back in 2001, I co-founded PopGurls.com with a group of friends — a foursome of pop culture junkies. We e-mailed each other all day, every day, with entertaining pop culture anecdotes. When it became impossible to keep track of all the banter, the idea of a website came about. Offering offbeat and irreverent commentary and coverage of pop culture, PopGurls is a web magazine for anyone who likes a little bit of irony with their entertainment news.
The brainchild of the four initial women in different industries and scattered around the U.S.A. has grown into a network of guest writers that us the opportunity to introduce new voices to its readers. It’s currently on hiatus, but all archives are still available.
